The 2nd Advanced Hip Course 2026 is a specialised orthopaedic education programme jointly organised by the Asia Pacific Hip Society (APHS) and the Singapore Arthroplasty Society. Taking place on 17–18 January 2026 at Academia, Singapore, the course is designed for orthopaedic surgeons who wish to enhance their expertise in complex primary and revision hip arthroplasty.
This intensive two-day programme brings together a distinguished international faculty to deliver a comprehensive blend of academic and practical learning. Participants will engage in expert-led lectures, interactive case discussions, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on practical sessions using cadaveric specimens and sawbones.
The course focuses on key areas including complex hip reconstruction, revision strategies, extensile surgical approaches, implant selection, and preoperative planning for challenging cases. Emphasis is placed on real-world decision-making and the effective management of complications to improve surgical outcomes.
Supported by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre and the Institute of Medical Simulation, the programme provides a high-fidelity, simulation-based learning environment that bridges theory and surgical practice.
This course is ideal for surgeons seeking to refine advanced operative skills, expand their clinical confidence, and engage with leading experts in hip arthroplasty across the Asia-Pacific region.
