History and Significance of the APPOS Logo Mark
The APPOS logo mark was created during Dr Toshio Fujii’s tenure as Chairman, following a request for an official logo when the APOA Paediatric Section became affiliated with the Journal of Children's Orthopaedics.
Inspired by the APOA logo, the design features a cherry blossom tree and angelic representations of children, symbolising unity, inclusivity, and a shared commitment to paediatric orthopaedic care. Its non-denominational design reflects the cultural and religious diversity of the Asia-Pacific region and was warmly received by members.
In 2013, following the organisation's name change to the Asia Pacific Paediatric Society (APPOS), the logo's lettering was updated while preserving its original design and symbolism.
