Message From President
APOA Hand And Upper Limb Society

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cholawish Chanlalit
[2026-2028]
President, APOA Hand & Upper Limb (APH&ULS)
ThailandAs the Chair of the APOA Hand and Upper Limb (APH&ULS) for the 2026–2027 term, I would like to welcome the new committee members who have joined to help build this association for surgeons with a special interest in upper limb treatment. This committee comprises the president, president-elect, immediate past president, honorary secretary, treasurer, education committee chair and the congress committee chair.
- Region-Specific Webinars: Our regular webinars are now split into distinct, individual regions. This allows us to dive much deeper into specific, focused topics for the shoulder, elbow, and hand rather than combining all three in one session.
- The Journal Club: The committee has formally approved the creation of a Journal Club to specifically encourage, mentor, and engage the new generation of professionals entering the field.
Alongside the executive committee, our specialized academic team—dedicated to the hand & wrist, elbow, and shoulder—along with our honorary advisors, stands ready to serve as a comprehensive knowledge resource for professionals interested in upper limb surgery
Upcoming 2026–2027 Educational Activities
To better serve our community, we have restructured our educational programming:
Please Save the Date in the 2027 APOA H&UL activity such as cadaveric workshop will be held alongside an in-depth of the shoulder in early of 2027. The Congress meeting, looking ahead to the summer, the APH&ULS section will proudly host the APOA Hand and Upper Limb Congress in Pattaya, Thailand, in July 2027.
In closing, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the committee members, as well as to both current and new members who will join us in our efforts to raise the public profile of the APOA Hand and Upper Limb (APH&ULS) section.
Sincerely,

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cholawish Chanlalit
President, APOA Hand & Upper Limb (APH&ULS)
