Yes. Each participant will be paired with a mentor, provided that all required materials are submitted at least one month before the start of the program.

It is a two-week fellowship program designed to strengthen scientific exchange and collaboration between the AO Foundation (AO), AO Research Institute Davos (ARI), APOA, and APORS. The program provides early-career surgeons and clinician-scientists with exposure to cutting-edge preclinical musculoskeletal research.

    Housing in Davos

  • APOA: 
    International travel, visa costs, and daily living expenses (approximately CHF 1,500 for 2 weeks)

  • Be qualified surgeons or trainees under 45 years old

  • Specialize in trauma, orthopaedics, or spine

  • Be members of APOA (APORS) and AO( any division)

  • Be proficient in English
