    • Introduction to the Education Section

      What is the Education Section?

The APOA has created a curriculum that aims to promote a common understanding across our diverse continent. The Education Section of APOAonline has been created to implement this curriculum.

      How will this be achieved?

This will be achieved by the creation of a body of educational material, hosted here on APOAonline. APOAonline has been designed to allow creation and administering of online educational content. This content will take many forms including but not limited to

      • Webinars
      • Discussions
      • Quizzes
      • Interactive Videos
      • Assignments

As they progress through this content, students will be able to build up an academic record that will earn them accreditation through the APOA.

      Journal Club

The first content will be the Journal Club. In journal club an academic paper is chosen from one of the APOA's partner scientific publications. It is then presented via video by expert members of the APOA EduCom and partners/  The paper and video will then form the basis of a Moodle asynchronous discussion, where students can share their thoughts on the paper with each other and the moderators. The titles and discussion should reflect the objectives of the APOA curriculum.
