Asia Pacific Hand & Upper Limb Society (APH&ULS) is a not for profit professional and scientific organisation. The Society is a subsection of Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association.
It was founded on 31st May 2020. The purpose of the society is to focus on education and to seek collaborations with existing Hand, Elbow and Shoulder societies.
The objectives of the Society are:
To advance the science, art and practice of Hand, Elbow and Shoulder Joint surgery in the Asia Pacific Region
To promote professional education, research, and other common interest in Hand & Upper Limb surgery
To share knowledge of and solutions to medical problems
To assist countries of the Region in all matters relating to Hand & Upper Limb (Hand, Elbow and Shoulder) surgery
To promote fellowship and understanding between Hand & Upper Limb (Hand, Elbow and Shoulder ) surgeons within the Region
To cooperate with global, international, national and regional Hand, Elbow and Shoulder Surgery associations, societies and specialty groups which, in the opinion of such groups, have objectives similar to the Objectives of the Society
To promote, encourage and assist in the education and training of Hand & Upper Limb (Hand, Elbow and Shoulder) surgeons in the Region, particularly in those countries with Chapters or Federation membership
